The Heart of Europe: Church Revitalization and Mercy Ministry in Slovakia

Spend the summer in Slovakia working closely with missionaries and national partners in a variety of contexts, both in the Slovak church and in the Roma community. You will experience work that is centered on revitalization/church growth and community outreach. This is a small team and a small church, but with a big mission, so your service will provide much needed help. There is great opportunity to explore your gifts and gain experience in serving.

Some of the things you can expect include basic language lessons and practice; serving with the church youth group and English club; preparing for and helping with summer English camp; weekly visits in the Roma settlement, organizing sports and English activities with children; join missionaries and Slovak partners for regular meetings, prayer, and meals; experience weekly 1-on-1 mentoring; and travel to other locations in Slovakia, as well as Poland, to get a broader perspective of ministry in Europe.

The ideal candidate is someone who is excited to grow spiritually and be stretched in a multicultural setting, wants to get a close-up look into our ministry, is okay if no English is being spoken, and is willing to meet people and develop relationships with English as the focus. Join us this summer and grow in your personal walk through discipleship, prayer, discussion, mentorship, and serving in diverse settings.
