Munich Assistant Pastor

The Free Evangelical Church of East Munich is still quite young. It ordained its first German elders in 2020. But it is strong and healthy and has doubled in size over the last three years and continues to grow rapidly! Still, as current missionaries plan to leave in 2022, the end of this partnership will be a major transition for the congregation.

Through a generous gift from donors in Germany, the church has called their current pastoral intern, Timon Kubsch, to serve as an assistant pastor starting in the fall of 2021. This will allow his family to stay at the church they love, take on roles left open by departing missionaries, help the church grow its discipleship and outreach ministries, and gain valuable experience in called pastoral work. The donation is enough to support the Kubsches for a year! However, we expect that it will take closer to two years before the church will be fully self-supporting.

Your gifts will supplement the funds already given, provide for the church’s anticipated move to a new worship and ministry space, and fully finance Timon’s position for at least two years. Help us place a theologically sound, growing church on solid footing to reach eastern Munich with the Good News for years to come, and invest in the development of a promising national partner and future leader in Germany’s young Reformed movement.
