Grace International Church of Oslo is an international church seeking to reach people from all over the world who have migrated to Oslo. Serving in an international church plant in one of Europe’s most secular and diverse cities is dynamic, fruitful, and transformative. Our work is groundbreaking in terms of planting gospel-centered and Reformed churches in Scandinavia.
The international church is highly transient and interns will fit right in with students who stay in our community for only a few months at a time. By the end of the internship, we hope that interns will be more informed and passionate about God’s global mission and better equipped to minister in cross-cultural settings.
Interns are welcome to serve in the daily activities of Grace International Church of Oslo for 1-3 months at any point throughout the year ... except July, when Norwegians typically take vacation. Duties may include:
- Assist with ministry to children/young people
- Meet regularly with students and young adults
- Help coordinate weekly worship meetings and ministry meals
- Participate in small group Bible studies
- Attend weekly staff meetings and other team events
- Help host/accompany short-term teams
- Invest in the spiritual wellbeing of members of the church community and its target group
- Norwegian language acquisition
- Guided readings to develop spiritual life and ministry gifts
Interns should be able to live on their own and be willing to raise the funds to live in one of Europe’s most expensive cities. Being highly relational and willing to minister to children/young people is a plus.
