Teachers: Coordinate Programs for Rohingya Refugee Center
Asian Crescent Team Global Muslim Ministry Team 1–11 Months Longer Asia - SoutheastAre you a teacher with a heart for serving refugees? Come join us and use your teaching skills to create programs that will empower the refugee community!
The Rohingya, a Muslim people of Southeast Asia, have been called “the most persecuted people on earth.” They are extorted by traffickers, detained by governments, trapped at sea. They are a people without citizenship and work visas—and without the good news of Jesus.
Many Rohingya live in the bustling city where our team works. In response to a critical need for education, vocation, and basic life skills, our local church has opened a community center. It’s here that our Rohingya friends can find a safe place to develop personally and professionally and to experience the love of Jesus Christ.
Rohingya are traditionally from farming communities and many have never learned to read and write. We need teachers to design and implement programs such as pre-literacy, English, vocational training, and tutoring in preparation for high school entrance exams. We need both men and women teachers to engage with our Rohingya friends. Serve alongside our Asian Crescent team and our local church. Use your teaching skills to equip, empower, and testify of a heavenly citizenship to stateless people.
