In order to prevent community transmission of COVID-19, and in response to the emergency declaration put forth by the Governor of California prohibiting all non-essential gatherings of 250+ people, Mission to the World (MTW) is canceling Witness: West Coast Missions Conference. This annual missions conference was scheduled to be held on April 24th and 25th at New Life Presbyterian Church of La Mesa in San Diego, CA.

Refunds will be credited to the credit cards of those who have already registered. Please allow 30 days for processing.

Lloyd Kim

Coordinator, Mission to the World

Lloyd Kim was elected coordinator of Mission to the World by the 2015 General Assembly of the Presbyterian Church in America. A native of California, he graduated from UC Berkeley with a degree in engineering and worked as a consultant with Ernst & Young before getting his M.Div. at Westminster Seminary California and his doctorate in New Testament studies at Fuller Theological Seminary. He was associate pastor with New Life Mission Church (PCA) in Fullerton, CA, before joining MTW. Lloyd and his wife, Eda, served as missionaries with MTW beginning in 2004 in the Philippines and then in Cambodia, where they initiated a new church-planting work which grew to a team of 20 working in multiple sites. Lloyd served as MTW’s international director of the Asia-Pacific region before his nomination as coordinator in July of 2014. The Kims have three children and reside in Lilburn, GA.

Seminary Professor

Faculty, South Asia Seminary

Mr. B* serves on the faculty of a Reformed seminary in South Asia. His previous experience includes church shepherding and church planting. Through his work at the seminary he trains church planters throughout his country and also helps mobilize grassroots-level Christian workers for church planting. Currently, he is pursuing his Th.M. degree. He is married with two daughters. *Name withheld for security reasons

Juan Jose Arjona Todd

Church Planter, Escondido, CA

Juan Jose Arjona Todd has been in the PCA church planting ministry doing outreach to the immigrant community of Escondido since 2000. His work there has earned recognition from the City of Escondido, the Escondido Union School District, the Escondido Police Department, the California State Senate, and San Diego County agencies. Prior to graduating from Westminster Seminary California in 2000, Juan served with the National Presbyterian church in Veracruz and Monterrey and InterVarsity Christian Fellowship in northern Mexico. Juan is from Coatzacoalcos, Veracruz, Mexico and has been married to his wife, Martha Garzon, since 2001. They have three children. 

Michael Horton

Professor of systematic theology & apologetics, Westminster Seminary California

Michael S. Horton is the J. Gresham Machen Professor of Systematic Theology and Apologetics at Westminster Seminary California, founder of White Horse Inn (, editor-in-chief of Modern Reformation magazine (, and co-host of the new daily Bible question-and-answer radio show Core Christianity ( Author of more than 30 books including The Christian Faith and Rediscovering the Holy Spirit, Dr. Horton serves as a minister in the United Reformed Churches. He lives in Escondido, CA, with his wife and four children.
