Worden, Phillip

Serving in Japan | Acct # 400927

PERSONAL NOTE

Phillip has been interested in Japanese culture since middle school. In his freshman year of college, God put missions on his heart, and that desire to serve has not waned since then. He has consistently sought to follow the Lord and seek His leading, and God has been consistently faithful. Last year, God reconnected him with the Carters, who he visited in Japan six years ago, and now he will be going to intern with them.

Phillip will be supporting a young church plant in the city center of Nagoya, Japan. He will be using his passion for people and relationships to share the love of Jesus through relational ministry. He will help with youth and young adult events and outreach. As an intern, he will also be spending time learning the language and culture and the unique ministry strategy to reach the city of Nagoya.

There are many cultural barriers to the gospel in Japan, and its people remain one of the most unreached people groups in the world. Developing genuine friendship with the Japanese is an effective way to share the gospel. As God remains at work in the lives of missionaries, He makes Himself known to the Japanese through friendship, forgiveness, and the fruit of the Spirit. Please prayerfully consider Phillip as he goes to learn and grow and serve in Japan!
