“To Be Thai is to Be Buddhist”

A man in Thailand has been a believer for five years, attending Grace City in Bangkok with his wife. Although he had a radical conversion to Christianity, his wife continued as a cultural Buddhist. She attended church events, but remained steadfast in her belief that “to be Thai is to be Buddhist.” To become a Christian in Thailand requires a fundamental shift in identity. Over time, the church became a true community and family to this woman, and two weeks ago she told the church that she is ready to follow Jesus. She now identifies herself as a part of the family of Christ.
In 2015 Grace City was blessed with five adult conversions and several more new Christians are waiting to be baptized. Missionaries anticipate there could be as many as half a dozen adult baptisms in the first half of 2016. For a young Thai church, this is amazing and encouraging news. Please pray for the growth of new Christians at Grace City and throughout the world.
