After Chris came to faith in college through a student ministry, God ignited a passion for missions in him. The Lord led him to East Asia for a summer. Then for two years more. During his time there, Chris witnessed the stark reality of how little most people knew about Christianity. He was astonished at how many had never heard the gospel, had never heard of Jesus, and didn’t even know anyone who knew.

Chris returned to the States, and his heart for missions continued to develop. Over the next seven years, Chris served an active member of a church, where God further equipped him for a new season of missions and grew in him a heart for churches and for ministry in the context of a church.

Chris’s church’s partnership with Mission to the World led him to Bangkok, where he is now part of a church planting team. Chris is immersing himself in the local culture and language, and his hope is that the newly planted church, Grace Fellowship Prawet, will become a beacon of hope and faith in the community, bringing many to know the love of Christ. Watch as Chris tells his story and see how each step of his journey confirmed his calling to be where he is today.
