Nagoya Castle: Emran Kassim

Christ Bible Institute, Nagoya, Japan

For more than 20 years before Christ Bible Institute opened its doors, pastors in Nagoya prayed that God would provide more opportunities for theological education in their area. In 2011, God graciously planted CBI in the heart of the city near Nagoya station. Ministries now include a graduate-level seminary; a center for church planting and church development; a counseling project focused on resourcing and training Japanese Christians to provide counseling; a publishing arm that translates and distributes key books in Japanese; and a web ministry that shares gospel resources in the form of articles and videos.

The CBI team seeks to equip Christians in Japan for the work of gospel ministry, so that the gospel of the glory of Christ might be cherished and proclaimed throughout Japan. Their mission is to instigate a gospel movement that will create a ripple effect throughout Japan. Though the nation of Japan is one of the greatest mission challenges of the world—less than 0.5 % Christian—there continue to be seeds of revival. The ministries of CBI are uniquely situated to come alongside the Japanese Church to continue to sow such seeds, that God’s kingdom may come in Japan. Visit the Christ Bible Institute website for more information about the team and their ministry.
