Unwilling to Surrender

In Berlin, a man stands on the edge of the kingdom. He’s been meeting with missionaries regularly and seems to understand the gospel. Yet when asked about trusting in God's promises and making a radical commitment to follow Christ, a look of sadness overcame him. “I hear what you’re saying,” he replied, “but even if I were to be baptized I'm not willing to change." He then listed several areas of his life where his heart is still enslaved to something worldly. His unwillingness to surrender his life to Christ keeps him on the edge, but we are praying he will take that step one day soon.

Although this man is not yet ready to commit to a life of following Jesus, we are excited that others are making a public profession of faith. Last Sunday Mosaik Berlin and Gospel Haus had a combined baptismal service where five people received this covenant sign and seal of grace. Both churches have seen significant growth in the past year, with attendance nearly doubling.

Thank you for your prayers and financial support that provides for missionaries to continue their work of advancing the kingdom. And pray for those who count the cost of being a disciple of Jesus in Berlin and around the world.  What a blessing to see them forsake all other loyalties and serve the King.

My Critical Breakfast Guest

Over breakfast she criticized the meal, our home, and my hair. I didn’t want to invite her back. In that moment my heart was revealed.

A Berlin Refugee Story: Video

Watch as a refugee in Berlin tells the story of his journey to Germany and the home he's found at MTW's Gospel Haus.

MTW’s Refugee Ministry Expands, Spanning Four Continents

Missionaries across the globe are working increasingly with refugees. Our 2016 year-end appeal focuses on this critical opportunity.

The Coming Tide of Faith in Europe

Across Europe missionaries are watching the Spirit move with a rapidly accelerating pace as God opens door after door.

Tea Time with Refugees

God is opening wide the doors for us to serve refugees in Germany.

Why Prayer is Critical to Missions

The only thing that our lost friends truly need—namely the Holy Spirit’s divine intervention to bring regeneration—is what we do not have...

Pray for missionaries seeking to minister to those who are critical and hard to love. Pray that missionaries would love their neighbor as Christ loved us.

Pray specifically for the refugees in Berlin who our missionaries are building relationships. Pray that these refugees would come to faith if they do not know Christ.

Pray for MTW's ministry to refugees in Greece, Germany, Ukraine, Uganda, Panama, and the U.S.

Praise God for opening doors in Germany for us to minister to refugees in a local refugee home. Pray for refugees to grasp the love of Christ.

Pray for the declining Church in Europe. Many see Europe as post-Christian and without hope. But we know that Christ will build His church.

Praise God for breaking through barriers in Germany and producing long-sought-after fruit! Pray for new believers to grow in their faith and lead others to Christ.

Pray that we would be able to accomodate and recruit interns desiring to work in their field of study and participate in global missions.

Pray for Europeans who have heard the gospel but are hesitant to fully commit to Christ. Pray that God would draw them to Himself.

Give thanks to God for a movement of the Spirit spreading across Europe opening doors that have been long-shut.

Pray for refugees who are flooding into Greece and Germany. Pray for our missionaries and nationals partner churches as they seek to minister to these displaced people with the love of Christ.
