Relationships Lead to Life in Czech Republic

By Staff, Sep 6, 2018

Years ago, a man from a nearby city began attending the annual English camps hosted by an MTW team in the Czech Republic. Over time, he has become one of their most faithful students. Until the summer of 2017, he was known as the life of the party, always joking and friendly, but pretty rough around the edges. Then God sent a major crisis into his life and things began to fall apart. He lost his family through divorce, he had no job, and he landed in the psych ward at the hospital, where he was treated for severe depression.

Through all this, a patient and wise counselor in the church spent untold hours on the phone with him. In the midst of his struggles, he started coming to church, and began spending time with the counselor’s family. As a result, he is getting more involved at church, even praying out loud during a recent prayer time, and is drawing ever closer to Christ.

It’s relationships that often speak the loudest. Thank you for giving so that our missionaries can build relationships with those who desperately need to feel the Father’s embrace.

Pray for the children in Zlin, Czech, to find Jesus through church opportunities geared toward children. Pray for God to use their faith to draw their parents to Christ.

Pray for the people of Sydney, Australia, a city which has been described as "post-post Christian pagan." Pray that God would open eyes to the truth of the gospel.

Pray for college students around the world to be impacted through MTW’s partnership with RUF.

Pray today for the unreached living in Central Asia, as well as for the local believers and missionaries hoping to reach them. Pray for relationships and conversations of faith.

Pray for those who God is calling to missions, that God would clarify their call, and equip them to serve Him.

Pray for church-planting work to increase and bear much fruit in strategic cities around the world that are filling with diverse international populations.

Give thanks for the work God is doing in South Asia in the wake of COVID lockdown relief. Ask God to grow the new believers who came to faith in Christ as a result.
