Weekly Prayer Requests
Pray for those in Thailand who are resistant to the gospel because “to be Thai is to be Buddhist.” Pray they’ll see that they can embrace the gospel and still retain their culture.
Pray for teams teaching English (ESL) as a part of their ministry and for the students who attend English classes/camp.
Pray that we would become more proficient at ministering to oral learners—those in cultures that learn best through the spoken word and storytelling.
Pray for first-year missionaries who can feel incompetent and overwhelmed as they begin ministry on the field.
Pray for missionaries to remain faithful in the mundane and not get caught up in striving to perform for the praise of others.
Pray that we would be able to accomodate and recruit interns desiring to work in their field of study and participate in global missions.
Pray for missionaries who are doing valuable work yet have trouble raising support because their work or field is deemed less exciting or less important than other mission work by some in the church.
Pray for participants going on short-term missions this summer, that God would use the trip to encourage, strengthen relationships, and build a foundations for missions.
Pray for those living in West Africa where the spiritual darkness is great. Pray that believers there would shine the light of Christ boldly and resist the enemy.
Pray for missionaries who suffer because they’re on the front lines of advancing the kingdom. Pray they will trust in His sovereignty and find their joy in Him.
