Belize is a culturally diverse Caribbean/Central American country. English is widely spoken, along with Spanish and Creole. The Presbyterian Church of Belize was established in 1987 and has grown to 16 churches, five of which are fully self-governing, but there are many open opportunities for continued growth.
One area for potential growth is university ministry. The University of Belize is a multi-location institution, with the main campus in Belmopan, the capital city. Belmopan currently has no Presbyterian church and is a high priority for future church planting and university ministry, where we would like to see a vibrant, Reformed church established.
If you are a teaching elder with a heart for students, we invite you to come help us start a campus ministry, lead regular Bible studies, and preach in one of the churches on Sundays. This is an English-speaking ministry, so language school is not necessary to get started.
Join us in building up the work in this over-evangelized, yet under-discipled country.
