Australia is a land of migrants and immigrants. Early settlers had a Christian background, but subsequent generations lost that heritage. Later immigrants observed different religious traditions. Today's Australia is both diverse and post-Christian, perhaps even "pre-Christian."
Perth is an urban city with a young population. There are many international students. Not many people go to church. Our work is primarily in church planting and church renewal.
Brookton is a rural farming town outside of Perth. Our current work is primarily with Aboriginal people.
We are looking for more team members to join us as we support our partner denomination, Westminster Presbyterian Church. We need pastors and church planters in Perth, Brookton, and for expanding ministry to new areas. Ideal candidates are ordained, or ordainable. Church planting experience is not required, but valuable.
