Tafferner, Mario & Elsbeth

Mario and Elsbeth serve the worldwide Church by training global Christian leaders in a suburb of Amsterdam. They first met in 2011 and married in 2014. Being German citizens, they always had a desire to minister in Central Europe. In 2018, God called them to the Netherlands to serve the Church through theological education at Tyndale Theological Seminary.

At Tyndale, Mario teaches Old Testament. The school has an intentional international profile and trains students from all over the world—but mostly from Africa and Asia—to become pastors and missionaries in their home countries. Both Mario and Elsbeth are excited that God uses Tyndale to prepare men and women for a variety of ministries with a gospel-centered theological education. At the same time, Tyndale’s faculty and students are actively serving in churches and ministries in the Netherlands, one of the most secular societies in the world.

The Tafferners are thankful to participate in this work of God in Europe. Tyndale stands as a witness for the gospel from which people are sent out to proclaim the Word of God in the Netherlands, in Europe, and around the world.
