Jordan, Alex & Heather May
Serving in Japan | Acct # 400786
The Jordans are answering a call to extend gospel work in Japan with K-12 education. Alex has taught high school Math and Engineering since 2011 and Heather May has extensive experience homeschooling their four children. Japan is the world's second-largest unreached people group with only 0.3% being evangelical Christian.
The Jordans will teach at and help establish Nagoya Christian School, which will provide grace-based education to Christian families in the area. This is crucial, as the unavailability of educational care in Nagoya has forced many missionary families to leave the field, their gospel ministry stopped.
A similar school established in Tokyo three decades ago brought stability, attracted new missionary families, and led to the planting of numerous churches. The Jordans hope to do the same in Nagoya, giving missionaries a second decade on the field to use their familiarity with the culture, language, and area to further the gospel.
Please pray that the Japanese people would be softened to the gospel, that the children at the school would grow in the love of God, and that those who love the Lord would be bold to share it and develop lasting, meaningful relationships with the Japanese.
