Harrell, Frank

Serving in Japan | Acct # 13388

PERSONAL NOTE

God led Frank toward serving the church overseas, particularly in unreached areas, during his undergraduate studies. To that end he moved to St. Louis in 2010 to pursue his M.Div. at Covenant Seminary, where he first began learning about the need for the gospel in Japan.

With less than a 0.5 percent weekly Protestant church attendance rate and only one church per approximately every 16,000 citizens, Japan is the second largest unreached people group in the world. It is estimated that over 100 million Japanese have never heard about Jesus in an in-depth way.

God used a church-planting internship in the summer of 2012 to develop Frank’s heart for the Japanese and to call him to Japan. He returned to Japan in 2016 to serve with MTW in Kansai through church planting. Kansai, made up of Osaka, Kyoto, and the surrounding area, is the second largest metro area in Japan with over 20 million residents. He is working with the Seibu Presbytery of the Presbyterian Church in Japan toward a church plant in an area currently lacking a Reformed and Presbyterian church.

Please pray for Frank, and please consider partnering with him financially to help bring the hope of Christ to the Japanese.
