We’re used to thinking about unreached people groups in missions work. But did you know that youth aged 10 to 30 are the largest unreached people group on earth? This rapidly expanding population of global youth (50% of the world’s population in 2012) share more in common culturally with each other than they do with the cultures of their own parents, largely because of technology and media, as well as parental abandonment.
Reaching this next generation is a critical priority for the global Church. And this is the focus of our Next Team. They’re working to develop youth ministry movements by equipping missionaries, national leaders, and indigenous churches to reach the youth in their communities. They also provide resources, training, and care for Third Culture Kids (TCKs) and their parents.
