GLOBAL MEDICAL MINISTRY
A woman suffering from sickle cell anemia, pale and fatigued from lack of iron, visited an MTW medical clinic in a village in West Africa, in one of the poorest areas in the world. The clinic was able to give her a supply of supplemental iron tablets that would last her for several months. She gasped and motioned her hands in gestures of thanks. Encounters like this open a wide door for the gospel. Many come to Christ and the work of church planting moves forward through these collaborative efforts.
MTW missionary teams often request a medical clinic. Although some MTW locations have permanent medical personnel who operate year-round clinics, our global medical staff members are available to visit areas all over the world where temporary clinics are vitally needed. They’re able to pray with patients, share the love of Christ, and connect them with local churches who will follow up with long-term spiritual care.
