The Privilege of Reaching the Unreached (AUDIO/VIDEO)
One of the trends we are seeing today is a great emphasis on social justice issues: anti-sex trafficking, poverty alleviation, racial reconciliation, etc. This is commendable and the Lord will honor these efforts. However another justice issue is not getting as much attention as it deserves: unreached people groups.
As we think about equity, fairness, equal justice for all people, we remember that all are created in the image of God. These unreached communities have no access to the gospel, to Christians, to Christian communities. They’re being denied the opportunity to hear the message that leads to true life, true freedom, true security. What is in ample supply for us—the Word of God, teachers, resources, conferences, community, godly examples—are denied to people made in God’s image in these unreached people groups. How then should we, as followers of Jesus, respond to this issue?
