Recapturing Universities for Christ in Cape Town, South Africa (VIDEO)

Universities in South Africa, like many around the world, were founded on Christian principles and yet over the years became steeped in secularism. MTW missionaries Coby and Pamela McGinty see the potential of recapturing universities for Christ.
Coby and Pamela have served with MTW at the University of Cape Town South Africa for the last 14 years. It’s a strategic location, rated the top educational university on the continent, with more than 30,000 students from over 100 nations. Students in this generation are faced with questions that previous generations have not had to face like issues of gender and sexuality. There is a great need for truth and deep relationships. The McGintys and Reach student ministry and reach out through pre-evangelism by offering practical seminars and community. Relationships built through these opportunities often lead to deeper discussions about faith. Now they’re building a new ministry home, a safe place to seek out answers to questions and find truth and discipleship.
