Resourcing Reformed Presbyterian church planting in Southern Africa (VIDEO)
Africa is becoming the center of Christianity for the world, but the church is not healthy. Many churches teach the prosperity gospel or are so weak that the gospel is barely recognizable or absent altogether. SARM, Southern Africa Reformed Mission, is a mix of MTW missionaries, PCA church leaders, and African national pastors, who have come together to address these problems. SARM’s purpose is to resource Reformed Presbyterian church planting in Southern Africa, and create support for presbyteries and denominations.
Church plants and church planters don’t just fall out of the sky. They have to be fueled. SARM has come alongside African men who are godly and gifted and smart, providing resources to help them to do more of it and to do it faster. SARM has helped our national partners by funding church planting projects, providing strategic theological training, and helping raise up the next generation of leaders through campus ministry and through mentoring future pastors through internship programs.
SARM needs PCA churches to partner with together financially. They also need experienced church planters and pastors to help us mentor these young leaders. One in three children are born in Africa. Right now, the American Church has the resources to change the course of Christianity worldwide. Please join in this unprecedented opportunity.
