God’s Perfect Timing for a London Church (VIDEO)
Todd and Liz Crusey were on the verge of applying for a visa to go to Australia in March of 2020 when COVID hit and the world shut down. At the same time MTW London Team Leader Rob Ilderton asked MTW for help. The pastor of Immanuel Church in Brentford, Stuart Cashman, was out on medical leave and the church needed pastoral support. The gifts and experience the Cruseys had were a perfect fit for the London team, as was the timing.
Todd and Liz see their role in Brentford, West London, as linking arms with other churches and believers in the community and collaborating. Immanuel Church is one part of God’s work in the community. The connections the Cruseys have made, both in the church and in the community, have assured them that this is where God wants them to be. They see that the need is bigger than they originally thought, and there is still more that they feel God is calling them to do.
At the end of November 2023, God called Pastor Stuart home to glory. Todd has taken to heart Stuart’s oft-repeated encouragement from Esther that Lord has brought them here for such a time as this, to the place where they were needed, to a place where their gifts fit the need.
