God Calls Newlyweds to Begin an RUF Campus Ministry in Senegal (VIDEO)
MTW missionaries Collin and Zury were newly engaged when they started daydreaming about doing college ministry in Africa. Collin was living in France while Zury was serving with RUF-Global at a university in Mexico City. God had called each to college ministry separately. During their own college years, each realized the need for more people to disciple college students.
From seminary, Zury was recruited to help start the first RUF outside of the U.S. She helped launch RUF-Global at the same university in Mexico City she had attended for grad school. When Collin and Zury got engaged, they quickly began talking about where God would have them serve in this next chapter of their lives, not only as ministry partners, but also as husband and wife. Around the time Collin expressed his heart for Africa, they received a call from the leaders of the Senegalese Presbyterian Church asking if they would start a campus ministry in Dakar, Senegal. They now serve together ministering to students there.
