Celebrating 10 Churches in 10 Years in Tokyo (VIDEO)
The population of Christians in Japan is 0.81% and that number has begun to shrink. The number of churches nationwide has begun to decrease as well. But in Tokyo, arguably the most influential city in Japan, God is ushering in the gospel. In Tokyo, God has accomplished something remarkable: planting 10 churches in 10 years.
There had not been a single church in Tokyo's city center until Grace City Tokyo was planted in 2010. The vision was for the church to be easily accessible from businesses in the area. They realized that in order to have an impact among young businesspeople, it had to be accessible on weekdays, not just on Sunday. Since then, God has used missionaries and national church planters to multiply His Church in Tokyo.
Watch the video to hear the stories, meet the church planters, and celebrate with us in the work that God has done.
