Trauma and the Gospel (Audio)

By Staff, Oct 9, 2018
Understanding the wounded helps the Church in its mission to follow Christ into the world. This seminar looks at successful strategies to use when dealing with primary trauma in ministry settings, specifically looking at ministry and trauma healing within refugee work. Additionally, the seminar addresses how to be on guard and protect against secondary trauma, which is a risk to those who minister in scenarios where they are frequently exposed to hearing firsthand trauma accounts.

Listen as Dr. David Foster, counselor and missionary care provider, and Joy Kirkland, missionary in Greece and advisor for trauma-impacted ministries in Europe discuss how they minister to those who have experienced trauma.

This seminar was recorded live at the 2017 PCA Global Missions Conference in Dallas.
