MTW began working in Panama a few short years ago with the desire to train and develop local believers to effectively build relationships within their communities with the goal of planting churches. Local leadership development is crucial for a sustainable church in Panama; yet currently, there are no Presbyterian churches that offer training, examination, and ordination.

The Panama Leadership Development Project was established to help develop and implement training programs that will generate local leaders. The training emphasizes both practical ministry skills and Christ-centered theological concepts, augmented by continuous coaching and mentoring. The project enables our team to furnish materials and resources for training events and to provide the ongoing mentoring required to equip these future pastors and church planters with critical ministry skills.
