MTW Island to Island
Australasia - Pacific Islands | Project # 95654
What does it gain to plant a church that is initially full, only to find it dwindle because the teaching is biblically weak? Theological education is foundational to the task of church planting.
From the South Pacific islands of Vanuatu, Fiji, Samoa, Tonga, and the Cook Islands, there is a Macedonian call by the Spirit to help our brothers and sisters there, who have not been given the support and encouragement they have needed for many years. In these remote places, many leaders cannot leave their place of residence in order to study, and there is little financial help available to cover the cost of training. By receiving adequate training, church leaders can become better equipped to shepherd their flocks.
MTW is partnering with Third Millennium Ministries and several Reformed Presbyterian churches in Australia and New Zealand to reach these islands. Third Mill offers seminary-level training at no cost, and MTW will endeavor to identify mentors and group leaders for those who will receive training. Gifts to this project will deepen and strengthen the Church in the gospel of grace.
