Grace City Church Tokyo
Asia - East | Project # 92803
Grace City Church Tokyo, began weekly worship in 2010 under the leadership of a Japanese pastor to bring the gospel of grace to people in Tokyo. The church seeks to apply the gospel to the challenges especially found in the city: need to perform, overwork, stress, fatigue, loneliness, and homelessness. They focus primarily on reaching those working in business and the arts.
From the beginning, Grace City has served as an incubator for church planting throughout Tokyo, helping to start ten new churches in the first ten years of its ministry and creating large networks for pastors serving across denominations in the city. They continue to be a catalyst for the start of many new churches in central Tokyo.
Because of extremely high costs in downtown Tokyo and the comparatively small size of churches in Japan, they are partially dependent on financial gifts from outside Japan. Your gifts help support this church planting movement by offering the hope and freedom of the gospel to people in a busy and anxious city.
