Grace City Church Tokyo
Asia - East | Project # 92803
Tokyo is one of the largest, most expensive, and most secular cities in the world. Since May 2010, Grace City Church (part of the Presbyterian Church in Japan) has held weekly worship in the heart of Tokyo, aiming at a friendly, welcoming environment. This relaxed context makes it easier for a non-Christian Japanese person to experience and understand church.
Grace City seeks to be a new community called to glorify God by loving and serving the city. It focuses on providing relevant answers from a gospel-centered perspective to the many questions that young professionals struggle with on a daily basis—issues like the meaning of work, stewardship of money, or relationships.
The church will also be an incubator for young church planters, with a vision toward starting new churches in central Tokyo. Many new churches will be needed to affect the city and Japanese society with the gospel of grace.
Your gifts to this project will support a church offering the hope and freedom of the gospel to a busy, anxious city.
