MTW missionaries and a local core group are partnering with the Greek Evangelical Church to plant a Greek-speaking intercultural church in Athens. As the city becomes more diverse, the need for an intercultural church has become apparent. With a focus on making disciples and welcoming one another, the goal is to develop language-specific small group Bible studies that are integrated into a single intercultural church community. Currently, the church rents a space that is used for worship, small groups, and planning meetings. The church is also preparing to hire a part-time Greek pastoral intern, who will assist with discipleship and preaching.
