Ministry Expanding in Asian Crescent—New Team Forming

This nation of vibrant urban areas scattered among diverse lush natural terrains is home to a variety of ethnic and religious groups. Having recently emerged from a long, traumatic, civil war and still reckoning with economic hardships, the residents continue to rebuild and seek healing from deep wounds. Though Christians are a small minority here, the Church has a significant opportunity to offer Christ’s unique message of hope and healing. Crucial to our calling, the Church in this country is in a strategic position to cross the barrier of Islam to reach Muslims for Christ, both within the national borders and beyond.

The Asian Crescent team is starting a new ministry hub in this location. We have a coordinator who is looking for others to join and help to establish a new team. The focus of the work is to plant a Presbyterian church in the main city while also strengthening other churches in the area and the nation; thus, we are seeking those with experience in leading, teaching, and building up church bodies, along with campus, youth, children, and mercy ministry workers. Those with a background in trauma or family counseling would also be very helpful.
