Pastoral Mentoring in Riga, Latvia

In Riga, there is a small Reformed seminary producing qualified young pastors that are interested in church planting. But they need help. Latvia is a post-Soviet country and most of the Christians in Riga are first generation Christians, so these pastors have little experience in church planting and few examples to follow. They are hesitant to plant a church without someone who is reliable and trustworthy to work with them.

We are looking for mentors—ordained men (teaching elders, ruling elders, or deacons), mature in their faith, who can come alongside these pastors to pray with them, encourage them, and guide them. Leading by example, you would serve as an elder in a local church, lead Bible studies, travel with church planters on occasion, and always be ready to share the gospel! In addition, the local seminary would welcome a dean of students.
