Evangelistic English Ministry

We are looking for teachers to come to Chiba, Japan, and lead conversational English classes (for adults and children) as well as Bible studies for the adults. No prior teaching experience is necessary, though it is helpful, especially training in TEFL or TESOL. We use teacher-friendly texts, classes are conversation-based and enjoyable, and after each class the teacher leads an evangelistic Bible study.

You don't need to speak Japanese to participate in this ministry and our church offers a bilingual worship service, so this is a good opportunity for people who don’t yet speak Japanese to have an immediate impact in cross-cultural ministry. To help you adjust to life in Japan, we do offer language instruction from Japanese teachers in our team's Japanese language school. Depending on your gifts and interests, there are also opportunities to assist in our church planting and development work through worship leading, serving with the video and A/V team, children’s and youth ministries, outreach programs, and small groups.
