Opportunity Details

Kenya is a strategic hub for ministry in East Africa. Nairobi gathers people from across the region and world, creating unique opportunities to disciple leaders whose influence extends globally. With a diverse, relational culture and real need for strong biblical teaching, it’s a compelling place to serve, build community, and strengthen healthy churches.

MTW’s team in Kenya is working alongside national church partners to see healthy, gospel-centered churches planted and strengthened in Kenya and throughout East Africa. We are looking for people to join our church planting team in Nairobi, to pursue pastoral and church planting experience, while learning and serving alongside experienced leaders.

This role is for men who sense a call to pastoral ministry and church planting but may still be early in their ministry journey. The goal is to provide hands-on ministry experience and develop the skills needed for long-term pastoral ministry. You will participate in the life and ministry of the church plant through discipleship, evangelism, leadership development, teaching opportunities, and community engagement. You will also work closely with national church leaders and missionaries to help strengthen the church’s ministry and outreach within the local community.

Candidates should have a seminary degree or be in the process of completing one. Ordination in the PCA, or a desire to pursue ordination, is preferred. Seminary students who are able to complete their studies remotely while serving on the field may also be considered. This role requires humility, teachability, and a willingness to learn from both missionaries and national church leaders. Building relationships and learning the culture will be central to the work.
