MTW would love to see a church-planting movement ignite in the Dominican Republic! We have been involved in ongoing ministry for years, sending regular short-term medical teams, providing a rotation of theological educators, and working alongside the Santiago Christian School.
We would like to see the ministry expand, but need several new, full-time missionaries to develop the work. In particular, we need a couple of pastors to help plant churches and to give leadership to our existing theological training program—to develop and expand the Spanish-speaking programs, as well as give oversight for the French/Haitian Creole studies. Ultimately, we desire to start a Reformed church-planting movement with Dominicans trained in these teaching programs. In addition, there are opportunities to work with the Santiago Christian School, which attracts many elite Dominican families.
A foundation for long-term ministry has been laid. Now we need workers to build on it.
