Opportunity Details

Uganda is a strategic place for ministry: The church is growing, people are spiritually open, and Christianity has deep roots, defined by the costly martyrdom of young converts executed in the 1880s. Yet the need for discipleship and trained leaders is urgent.

Ministry happens through long-term relationships, not quick programs. But providentially MTW has both an established ministry presence in the country as well as a growing partnership with a local church plant. These provide a platform and momentum for gospel advancement.

Not everyone on a church planting team serves in a pastoral role; many people play essential parts in helping a young church grow and flourish. MTW’s team in Uganda is looking for individuals who love the church and want to serve as part of a church planting team, using their gifts to strengthen the life of the church and support its ministry in the community. Ministry opportunities may include discipleship, hospitality, women’s ministry, youth ministry, administration, community outreach, or other areas where the church’s ministry can be strengthened. Candidates should be spiritually mature, relational, flexible, humble, and eager to serve.
