Winch, Jonathan

Jonathan joined Westminster Presbyterian Theological Seminary in Newcastle, England, as director in 2020 after a 31-year career in secondary education. He led North East England’s top state secondary school for 12 years before moving to assist a school in special measures (improving performance) in South Yorkshire. As executive principal he was responsible for five years for academic standards across a family of schools serving disadvantaged communities.

A founding elder (and pianist) of All Saints Presbyterian Church, Jonathan is married to Julie. Outside of work, when not with their own family or church family, they love to walk, hand in hand, across windswept Wainwright fells.
