Tendo, Clement

Serving in Uganda | Acct # P-0703

PERSONAL NOTE

By God’s sovereign grace, Clément Tendo (from Goma, DRC) heard the gospel at a tender age. Having found his anchor in Christ, he is passionate about proclaiming and applying the whole Christ of Scripture to the whole man through preaching, and teaching, first to himself and then to God’s people (Luke 24; Acts 20:26-27; 2 Tim. 2:15).

Christianity is exponentially growing on his beloved continent. Yet, it has been said that “the Church in Africa is a mile wide and an inch deep.” There is often great zeal for God with less knowledge of Him. Clément’s passion is to see knowledge and zeal combined.

Clément holds a B.A. in biblical studies with education from African Bible University and an M.Div. from Westminster Theological Seminary. While serving with One Voice Fellowship, a multilingual PCA Church plant, he is also pursuing a D.Min. at WTS. Lord willing, Clément will soon be ordained in the PCA and be sent to Africa, to serve as a minister of the Word. He will also be involved in theological education. As Dr. Jack Miller once said, Clément hopes to do this work as a “hungry beggar eagerly eating the bread [of life] and being changed by it, and then telling the other poor beggars to eat of the same bread.”
