Takei, Yuma

Yuma and Ashley Takei are joining the Kaihin Makuhari Team in Chiba, Japan. Yuma became a Christian during high school and was called into pastoral ministry toward the end of high school. During his internship, he met a missionary serving in Nagoya, Japan, and heard of the great need for the gospel there. As a Japanese American, he began to develop a heart for his own people. Yuma graduated from Westminster Seminary California and is an ordained pastor in the PCA. He is currently the assistant pastor of Redeemer Presbyterian Church in the Los Angeles area.

Ashley grew up in a Korean Christian home in California. Her heart for cross-cultural missions developed after going on various mission trips to Mexico and China. She is currently serving in various student ministries at Redeemer Presbyterian Church. She plans to use the same gifts of teaching and discipling at Kaihin Makuhari Grace Church.

Yuma and Ashley’s vision is to make disciples in Makuhari and to advance the kingdom in the East Kanto region. Please consider partnering with them to bring the hope of the gospel to the unreached in Japan.
