Tokyo, Japan, is a vibrant city filled with exciting technology, world class universities, and artistic innovation. Nevertheless this is a city and a country profoundly in need of the hope that is found in the gospel. Despite the prosperity of Japan, the Church in Japan is still very small; less than 1% of Japanese people are Christians. It is a country of material wealth but spiritual poverty.
William and Jessica have been called to serve on the Tokyo City church-planting team. The team is working to plant churches and serve university students, beginning in the Setagaya ward of Tokyo. William and Jessica hope to share the gospel with their neighbors, encourage young families, and disciple college students. Please pray for the millions of Japanese who have never heard the good news of the gospel, and for the church in Japan as it seeks to shine the light of Christ in a spiritually dark place.
