Roby, Brian & Sheryl

Brian and Sheryl are serving a congregation of the Free Church of Scotland in Elgin, Scotland as it works to revitalize and plant churches in a land which has strayed from its gospel heritage.

God has equipped them with life experiences as mentors and leaders. Brian served in the military and in corporate management prior to being on staff at Twin Oaks Presbyterian Church in St. Louis. Sheryl has a combined 24 years of teaching in home, public, and Christian schools prior to managing a physical therapy office.

They are comfortable in many cultures, but their passion is for Scotland. Brian is a 1979 graduate of West Point, where he learned the bagpipes and played them on his first visit to Sheryl’s home. She still married him and between living in Germany, Washington, D.C., Kansas City, rural Pennsylvania, and suburban Missouri they never lost their affinity for Scotland and its culture.

They are excited to follow as God leads His church to rebuild the “walls that are broken down and the gates destroyed by fire.” (Nehemiah 1:4)
