Kazen, Kersten

Serving in England | Acct # 400418

PERSONAL NOTE

From a young age, Kersten dreamed of serving the Lord overseas. Growing up in the church, she spent years serving in children’s ministry, and as a teenager she served in a local crisis pregnancy center.

While in college, Kersten wrestled with the idea of pursuing overseas missions. A summer internship with a church in Sweden opened her eyes to the great need for gospel-centered churches in Europe. After receiving her degree, the Lord led her back to crisis pregnancy ministry, even opening a door for her to serve for several years as a director of the same center where she once volunteered. In this role, Kersten saw the need for the gospel among women facing unplanned pregnancies, who may not always feel welcome in the church. It was during this time that Kersten sensed God’s call to pursue full-time missions.

Kersten will serve with the International Presbyterian Church in London, where she will help establish a pregnancy center for women in the community, while also assisting with women and children’s ministry in the church. Her heart is for young minds and hearts to be shaped by the gospel, and for women facing unplanned pregnancies to find hope in Christ.
