PERSONAL NOTE

John grew up in Clute, Texas, and felt God’s call to missions while attending LeTourneau University in Longview, Texas. In 1992, he graduated with a degree in welding engineering technology. In 1997, he met and married Kathy, who grew up in Lawrenceville, Georgia. Kathy also felt God’s call to missions during college. She graduated from North Georgia College in Dahlonega, Georgia, with a degree in special education. They have four adult children, all living in the States.

The Clows have been serving with MTW since 2001. They served their first term in Reynosa, Mexico, before moving to La Ceiba, Honduras, in 2010. They served there until 2022, when they moved to the capital city of Tegucigalpa, Honduras, where they currently reside. John serves as the regional director for Mexico and Central America. Kathy serves in a member care role for Latin America. She is currently working on her master’s in marriage and family counseling to serve the missionary community better. John and Kathy both have a desire to serve and encourage fellow missionaries in the roles God has ordained for them.
