Hill, Heidi

Heidi will be joining the Chiba City team in Japan to help build the campus ministry outreach for the students through a local church plant.

After returning from a vision trip in 2023, the Lord made it clear—through conversations with the team, with the university students, and the quiet beauty of a Japanese beach—that He had prepared her heart to serve overseas.

Heidi began working for RUF International in Dallas in 2017. Over the last eight years, she has developed a deep love for hospitality, evangelism through friendship, and discipling young believers to become passionate participants in the local church. She plans to take her experience in cross-cultural ministry into a new context by serving the students of Japan, with the hope that they may be irresistibly drawn in by the beauty of the gospel.

Campus ministry is essential for the future of the Japanese church, since more than half of the population of Christians is over 50 years old. By raising up a generation of young men and women who love Jesus, Heidi and her team hope to change the spiritual landscape of a nation where less than 1% of its people identify as Christian.
