Conroy, Dennis & Rhonda
Serving in Global | Acct # 11120
Dennis and Rhonda met in Orlando, Florida, while Dennis worked at Ligonier Ministries and Rhonda taught at Orangewood Christian School. Once married, they sensed God’s leading into missionary service and in 1987 attended language school in Costa Rica. Dennis and Rhonda then served for two years in Merida, Mexico, working with MTW and Logoi, supporting the training of national pastors in Latin America. Dennis later pursued training from Wycliffe Bible Translators in desktop publishing, which led to an assignment with Wycliffe in Davao City, Philippines, in June 1994.
The Conroys believe the Bible is God’s Word and that everyone should have access to it in a language they can understand. Dennis prepares Scripture translations of minority languages, primarily for groups in Southeast Asia. Translators send completed portions of Scripture to Dennis, who runs numerous checks and prepares the manuscript for printing and for digital media, providing people with electronic access to the Bible. Additionally he is a curator/librarian for over 300+ Bibles in the Digital Bible Library.
Over the years Rhonda has served the mission community with hospitality; raising four children; and teaching and doing administration for the local international school when they are in the Philippines. Currently, Rhonda is an instructional designer for virtual or online courses for missionaries.
