Dave became a Christian while in college through the ministry of a believing friend. He later transferred and finished his studies at Covenant College, and then pursued a medical degree and certification in family medicine. He served in private practice for five years before moving to Sofia, Bulgaria. His discipleship experiences have shaped his view of “using every tool in the toolbox” to show the Love of Christ to others, toward the end of Christ building His Church.
Since his arrival in 2006, Dave has pursued building up God’s kingdom through discipling young adults, supporting and facilitating mercy and medical team outreaches, directing The Well summer internship, supporting and leading in a newly established church, and, most recently, serving as the Sofia team’s leader. Dave continues to develop in this role as he learns to lead and shepherd his team well, to cultivate healthy partnerships with our Bulgarian national partners, and to engage in evangelism and discipleship efforts.
