Crews, Virginia

Serving in Ukraine | Acct # 400460

PERSONAL NOTE

Virginia was introduced to missions at a young age through her parents who had been missionaries in France. Though they ended their missionary service before she was born, she was exposed to different cultures and the idea of missions throughout her childhood. She always wanted to go to Europe and experience the culture and the people for herself. During college, Virginia was involved in RUF campus ministry and started to grow in discipleship and evangelism. She considered going into counseling after college, but the Lord had an even better plan. During the fall semester of her junior year, MTW came and spoke about summer internships in Europe.

The Lord made it clear that He wanted her to go to Ukraine as an intern. Virginia spent the summer of 2021 serving with Team Lviv. While serving with the church plant and university ministry there, the Lord brought together her desires, gifts, and vision for missions. She began to see that her desire to live in Europe and connect with other cultures, evangelize, counsel, and care for the brokenhearted had come together to serve the Lord and live out the Great Commission. The Lord has called her to serve there for the next three years with the local church plant and university ministry.
