Brett and Taylor began serving with Christ Bible Institute in Nagoya, Japan, in 2012 as short-term missionaries through Mission to the World. CBI is a ministry that seeks to engage Japanese society with the gospel, expand the kingdom of God through church planting, and equip Christian leaders through theological education.
In March 2013, Brett accepted the call to leadership for CBI and the family committed to long-term service in Japan. As executive director and team leader, Brett is responsible for casting vision and leading the team and overall ministry. He graduated with an M.Div. from Reformed Theological Seminary in 2012 and is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in religion and theology from the Free University of Amsterdam. Taylor serves as a member of the team and leads the CBI internship program along with Brett. They are blessed with three children.
