Panama is a culturally Christian nation, yet many experience only nominal faith with shallow teaching, prosperity theology, and/or moralism. Many young people are rejecting God completely. Clear biblical teaching, gospel-centered theology, and intentional discipleship remain rare.

Andrew and Marina Day have been called to Panama City to join a church-planting team that started the Presbyterian church Comunidad de Cristo (“Community of Christ”), which is rooted in historic Reformed theology. The team’s vision is to strengthen and multiply healthy, Panamanian-led churches that disciple believers deeply and reach their communities. Over the next five to 10 years, Andrew and Marina aim to mature Comunidad de Cristo by raising trained local elders, building robust discipleship structures, and fostering evangelism and hospitality. Long-term, they long to see Panamanians discipling one another across multicultural neighborhoods, with local leadership driving future church planting in the city and beyond.

To bridge the church and community, members of the church have started, El Tercer Lugar, a coffee shop that serves as a welcoming “third place” for natural relationships, trust, and spiritual conversations. Your support will fuel discipleship development, leadership training, relational outreach, and vibrant community life—helping transform cultural Christianity into genuine, Scripture-shaped faith. Thank you for your sincere partnership in the gospel!
