In Frankfurt, Germany, missionaries are hosting gatherings of international friends they’ve met in random places: German class, the corner store, city offices, etc. They are following a model that begins with inviting people to a party and then inviting the same people back the next week (same place, same time) for a connect group. It’s a good way to break down barriers and build relationships.

At a recent gathering, several people commented that they had no community of friends like this. One couple brought their mother, who was visiting from another town, and she said, “Oh, I love this! Can you move and be my neighbors? Nobody does this!” Later, when the missionaries said they were Christians, she said, “I grew up Muslim, but I can tell you, it was Jesus who healed me from a sickness!” Wow. The hope is that the relationships developed here will continue to lead to gospel conversations and real community.

Gatherings like these happen because of you. Your gifts help advance the gospel from the corner store, to the living room, to the local church all over the world. Thank you.
